I spent multiple hours playing this game, too bad my installation CDs are dead and buried:-( There is something called 'Industry Giant 2 Gold Edition 2012' available in some other places, which seems to be repacked/patched game working on modern systems (including Win7 x64) and including expansion. But there are also reported some small issues (installer does not create 'Save' directory, some texts in EN version are in DE, etc).

I wonder if there are plans for GOG to release this gem? Would prefer to grab DRM free version with GOG-quality support preferably over any other source. Anyway, I'd love to see Industry Giant 3 or Transport Giant 2 kickstarted.

EDIT: damn, less than 100 votes on the requested games wishlist on GOG comparing to 10000+ for the leading games, so I suppose not a chance to see IG2 in the foreseeable future, that's a pity:-(. GOG has released a few games with less than 500 votes. Personally I'm still waiting for Revenant to come out.
