I know that there are more Double albums in Hip Hop [Jay-Z, Nas, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, 8-Ball, Bone-Thugs, Wu-Tang, Yukmouth, Master P, Kurupt, Scarface & any more I forgot about.Sorry. Please feel free to mention them also ], but here's my question: Which is the best out of these 3 classic double albums?
2pac-All Eyez On Me Notorious B.I.G.-Life After Death Outkast-Speakerboxxx/The Love Below All 3 of these are absolute classics imho, but which most do you prefer & why? If you like, put them in order from 3 to 1. 1.Life after Death- Even with it's pop ish moments, B.I.G.
Kills on each track. It would have cool if Puffy wasn't involved because he was on the record too much and im sure the record would have been flawless without his involvement. Speakerboxx/The Love Below- Speakerboxx was a sleeper for me.and I love Big Boi, but I pressed the skip button too many times with that one. The Love Below was an album that took some getting used to at first, but once it registered it was just ok. Andre 3000 is one of the most clever and witty rappers I know of, but as a singer he does little for me (probably because of all the Prince mimicking). Neither album was unlistenable though. All eyez on me- This record had strong songs no doubt, but it had a forced feel to it.at least to my ears.
I cant put my finger on it, but it just seemed like something was missing from that album. Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z., Me against the World, and even 7day Theory (Makaveli) were far superior in my opinion. Boardmaker version 5 free download. It was recorded in about 2 weeks right after he was released from prison. GeminiBrown said: 1.Life after Death- Even with it's pop ish moments, B.I.G. Kills on each track.
