Okay i upgraded windows 7 from an iso about 6 months ago, but it said i was qualified for the windows 10 upgrade then. Well i upgraded from an iso cause my computer wouldnt restart at the time for some reason, and it wouldnt install from windows upgrade. I did not do a fresh install i upgraded.
Okay well now my computer does say windows 10 is activated and it gave me a product id which is (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx) but it calls it a product id and not a product key. Is the product id the same as a product key? Can i download a new iso and use the product id with it?
Or do i need to go back to windows 7 and upgrade from windows update? And where do i find the product key? It only shows me the id under control panel. You do get a 'product ID' you just do not get to write it down. Its stored in the cloud. Thats the only difference.
Obviously MS is doing this to cut down on pirating. If you do not like win 10 you can always roll back to the previous OS within the first 30 days I successfully upgraded from 8.1 to 10.
And I decided to make a backup dvd using the Windows media creation tool. And upon completion there was a note to (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PRODUCT KEY READY UPON INSTALL) Apparently meaning you have to have a product key. So I have the same question.Where is My Product key!! It said nothing about the cloud, I think that was just an excuse for you to leave the issue alone.
Subsequently anytime you re-install (or clean install) the installation checks with those servers, finds the unique installation ID and produces the validation The product key is even less tangible of a product than the OS? Why would that make you 'feel Better' and how is that relevant to the usefulness of any OS? Either the OS is useful and relevant or it is not.
The value of a product key versus the product is irrelevant unless the product key is actually need to access the OS. IT is not the hardware config is the key.
Technically that is even more tangible and you already own that (Allegedly;-). That is a very long winded way of saying your comment is meaningless and irrelevant. Not Abuse, either. Just not relevant. Living well is the best revenge.
Tubonge jose chameleone free mp3 download. I just contacted Microsoft Answer Tech (Joseph C) and they said: 'Since that you will have major changes in your computer hardware, your Windows 10 activation will be deactivated and what you need to do is to contact our Up and Running department as they will assist you on how to re-activate your Windows 10 activation.' I asked directly, 'Will I have to pay for Windows again to re-activate it?' And they said: 'No [my name]' 1-877-696-7786 is the number I was given to contact that department.
HERE'S WHERE THINGS GET WEIRD: I clicked on the link he gave me to talk to the person to re-activate it and got Marlon B who said: 'To be able to activate again your Windows 10 is you need to reinstall windows 7 before upgrading to windows 10' I asked how this works because I thought Win 7 would have been deactivated. He said: 'Nope it will not deactivate your windows 7 Just keep your windows 7 product key handy and the installation media' I asked if you will still be able to do the upgrade after the 1-yr upgrade window expired and he said: 'I believe yes you are entitled already for the upgrade but then again you cannot clean install windows 10 right away.' I was a bit confused about the 'clean install' thing. He clarified: 'You will only have windows 10 product key when you purchase windows 10. Since you have Windows 10 UPGRADE version, you will not own product key, that is why you need to go back to your previous operating system' This is all straight from Microsoft Support. No more hearsay. I can post pictures of the convo if that helps.
